Goodbye Pertrain - Hello Safetybooks

The creation of SafetyBooks
For the last 16+ years, I have worked at Pertrain Pty Limited.
My most recent role was to run the printing and e-commerce side of the company where I consulted then created safety and training material for clients such as Glencore, BHP, Queensland Sugar Limited, Siemens and Aurizon.
Working closely with talented printing companies such as Uniprint (Inkifingus) I designed, printed and shipped out resources such as TAKE 5, SLAM and JSEA risk assessment books as well as permits and equipment pre-start checklists both in Australia and internationally.
Way, way, way back at the start I cut my teeth assisting the technical writers by creating diagrams and laying out technical manuals. I then moved onto remote site project management involving digital content creation for training in safety, environment and operational areas at mines, refineries and power stations all over the country.
Pertrain was a wonderful place to grow and provided me opportunities to hone my skills, travel and reinvent my role when it was time for a change. However, eventually, I felt there were fewer challenges where I could think outside the box.
I am thankful for my time at Pertrain, and I miss working with everyone there, but I am excited and invigorated by this new path I am taking. Let the new adventure begin!
